Image Transfer with Newsprint - Drawing Fluid and Screen Filler - Virtual Workshop

Image transfer with newsprint is a multiple step process that can create interesting results with slip and underglaze. Possibilities with this technique are limitless! In this workshop we will be decorating the mug seen below.

If you have watched my Image Transfer with Newsprint - Monoprint workshop you have seen how to make a single image to transfer, but what if you would like to create the same image multiple times, but aren’t ready to invest in more expensive screen printing equipment and want to create images that seem a little more hand drawn? Then this class is for you!

This course is designed for beginner's and will cover:

-how to hand draw a design on a screen printing frame with Speedball Drawing Fluid and Screen Filler
-how to prepare your screen for screen printing
-how to prepare your underglaze for screen printing
-how to screen print on newsprint and rice paper
-how to clean your screen
-how to apply designs

-how to prepare mug for glazing
-how to glaze

This workshop is for decorating leather hard pottery before bisque firing. I do not show how to mix slip or glaze, but my recipes are included.

This workshop comes as a downloadable file that is available to watch at your leisure. The length of the workshop is 55 minutes and comes with a detailed 4 page PDF that includes my slip and glaze recipe and a resource list.
