Art For The Wall
When I started leaning into to image transfers and decorating my first plates I loved working with a flat surface. After half a dozen plates under my belt, I thought you know what would be neat? Wall tiles.
Flat pieces are easier to decorate, but not always easier to make. They have a tendency to warp if you don't dry them slowly enough. In the kiln, if the pieces are too wet they can crack. But I decided to try anyway. Here is a video of me decorating the above tile.
Then I finish each tile off with a notch in the back so you can hang it on the wall.
They also make a lovely arrangement on a wall.
